GATOR BOWL SPORTS ANNOUNCES 2022 VOLUNTEER LEADERSHIP

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., April 20, 2022 – The Gator Bowl Sports Board of Trustees announced its slate of volunteer leadership for the 2022-23 season.   Nelson Bradshaw, Managing Director of Banking Strategies for Farther Financial, will lead this year’s leadership as the 2022 Chairman of Gator Bowl Sports Board of Trustees and will preside over all Gator Bowl Sports entities including the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl football game and game week events.

Chairman Nelson Bradshaw joins the impressive ranks of the Gator Bowl Board of Trustees after serving in a variety of volunteer roles with Gator Bowl Sports since 2008 when he first arrived in Jacksonville.   Bradshaw has spent his career in finance primarily managing wealth, private banking and commercial groups for one of the largest international banks in the world. Having joined the team at Farther Financial earlier this year, Chairman Bradshaw leverages his financial experience to help Farther build a network of bank-related products commonly used by its client base.

Chairman Bradshaw prioritizes getting involved and giving back to the community as evidenced through his expansive involvement with many civic organizations including state board positions with the Florida Development Finance Corporation, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, The Florida Bankers Association and NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association.  Locally, Bradshaw serves in board roles with the Association for Corporate Growth, World Affairs Council, JAX Chamber, Hubbard House Foundation, Here Tomorrow and UNF College of Business Advisory Board.

“Gator Bowl Sports has been a long time staple in our community and one of the first organizations I joined after moving to Jacksonville,” said Chairman Bradshaw.  “It is an honor and privilege to serve as Chairman of this prestigious organization and continuing to create an impact across the First Coast through our economic impact, charitable programming, and community engagement initiatives.”

Nelson is a graduate of Louisiana State University and executive management programs at the University of Texas at Austin and IESE International University in Europe.  He lives in Jacksonville Beach with his wife of 30+ years, Judy.

Serving as Chairman-elect is Alan Worley, Founder and CEO of Money Pages and President of 3D Digital. Worley started Money Pages in Jacksonville in 2001 with the purpose of helping local businesses grow and delivering savings to the local community. Since its creation over two decades ago, Money Pages started franchising and now covers 13 million homes in circulation, publishing in dozens of markets across eight states, and continues to expand across the country. In 2014, Worley began 3D Digital, a full-service digital agency that provides digital marketing, social media management, and video services to its clients – and Worley has since grown both Money Pages and 3D Digital into multi-million dollar companies.

Worley is passionate about Jacksonville and serves his city in many ways including serving on the mayor-appointed Advisory Commission on Television, Film & Commercial Production; the Better Business Bureau Board of Directors and the Synovus Bank Advisory Board just to name a few.
