Each fall, Gator Bowl Sports welcomes a team of full-time interns to help bring the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl to life. This immersive program is designed to provide hands-on, real-world experience in the sports industry—giving interns the opportunity to contribute meaningfully from day one.
Interns play an active role in the day-to-day operations of the organization, supporting Gator Bowl Sports membership initiatives, Gator Bowl Charities, and all aspects of the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl. If you’re looking to gain experience in a fast-paced, team-driven environment while learning the ins and outs of sports and event management, this is the opportunity for you.
Internship Time Frame: Early August – Early January
(Specific Dates to be decided once TaxSlayer Gator Bowl date/time is announced in the Spring)
Internship Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Internship Location: In-Person | Jacksonville, Florida
While each intern is assigned a primary focus area, all interns collaborate across departments—ensuring a well-rounded experience and exposure to the full scope of operations.
Gain hands-on experience planning and executing events ranging from intimate member gatherings to large-scale game day activations. This intern will also support the corporate development team in building and fulfilling partnerships.

The 2026 Gator Bowl Sports internship program in general will run from early August to early January. Specific dates will be decided upon once the date for the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl is announced in the spring.
Each intern will receive 3 days of paid time off to use throughout the internship period. Please note, paid time off can NOT be used from November 30th through January 6th and MUST be pre-approved by a supervisor. Additionally, the Gator Bowl Sports offices close for the following holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will be evaluated depending on game date.
The TaxSlayer Gator Bowl offices are in Jacksonville, Florida — located within WJCT. Office hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with evenings & weekend work required at times.
