Gain hands-on experience planning and executing events ranging from intimate member gatherings to large-scale game day activations. This intern will also support the corporate development team in building and fulfilling partnerships.

What you’ll do:

• Assist in planning and executing events, including:

  • Monthly Member Socials
  • Bowl’d Ladies events
  • Holiday Party
  • Game Week events – public & private
  • Select Gator Bowl Charities events
• Support corporate partnership development and fulfillment
• Help manage and execute the Volunteer Program

Play a key role in telling the story of the Gator Bowl Sports while supporting meaningful community initiatives. This role blends marketing, event production, and community relations.

What you’ll do:

• Create and manage content across the website, social media, and e-mail communications
• Produce the weekly e-newsletter and digital content that goes with it
• Assist in creation of marketing/ad campaigns, promotions, and event planning
• Support game production, including on-field activations and sponsor integration
• Help execute Gator Bowl Charities programs such as the Dream Team, Scholarships, MVT and more
• Serve as lead project manager for the High School Career Fair
• Oversee the Send a Child to the Game program

Work directly with fans, members, and partners to deliver an exceptional game day experience while learning the business side of ticketing and membership.

What you’ll do:

• Assist customers using Ticketmaster’s Archtics platform
• Manage community ticket programs (school fundraising program, military, corporate perks, etc.)
• Support ticket fulfillment for individual fans, members, and partners
• Respond to inquiries via phone and email
• Assist fans on game day with ticketing and general questions
• Create invoices and track transactions
• Support the membership team with a weekly fundraising reporting
• Help coordinate member scouting trip logistics and weekly materials

The 2026 Gator Bowl Sports internship program in general will run from early August to early January. Specific dates will be decided upon once the date for the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl is announced in the spring.

Each intern will receive 3 days of paid time off to use throughout the internship period. Please note, paid time off can NOT be used from November 30th through January 6th and MUST be pre-approved by a supervisor. Additionally, the Gator Bowl Sports offices close for the following holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will be evaluated depending on game date.

The TaxSlayer Gator Bowl offices are in Jacksonville, Florida — located within WJCT. Office hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with evenings & weekend work required at times.

Yes! All fall TaxSlayer Gator Bowl internships are paid.

The Gator Bowl Sports Internship Selection Process consists of three periods:

• Resume Submission and Evaluation Period (April – May)
• Zoom Interview Period (April – May)
• Final Interview Period (June – July | In-Person preferred but can be conducted Remotely if needed)

Final Selection is targeted for early July, but please note this could be extended depending on number of applications/schedules.

No. However, the internship program allows interns to meet and interact with many significant people in the community, as well as the sports industry. Networking throughout your internship can help immensely when applying for full-time positions at the conclusion of your internship.
