Internship Opportunities

Each year Gator Bowl Sports hires full-time interns to join our team throughout the fall! This internship
program is designed to supplement all staff functions while educating students on the planning, budgeting,
and fulfillment processes that accompany hosting a major sporting event.

Internship Time Frame: Early August – Early January
(Specific Dates to be decided once TaxSlayer Gator Bowl date/time is announced in the Spring)
Internship Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Internship Location: In-Person | Jacksonville, Florida

 

Throughout the interview process intern candidates will have the opportunity to learn about the various departments within our organization. We are seeking the overall top candidates and will assign the final interns into a specific concentration area based on intern interest and organizational need. Despite assigned area, each intern will be involved with all other aspects of the organization to gain broad experience in the industry while also supporting the overall goals of the organization!

Frequently Asked Questions

The 2024 Gator Bowl Sports internship program in general will run from early August to early January. Specific dates will be decided upon once the date for the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl is announced in the spring.

Each intern will receive 3 days of paid time off to use throughout the internship period. Please note, paid time off can NOT be used from November 30th through January 6th and MUST be pre-approved by a supervisor. Additionally, the Gator Bowl Sports offices close for the following holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, 1/2 Day on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

The TaxSlayer Gator Bowl offices are in Jacksonville, Florida — located inside of EverBank Stadium. Office hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with evenings & weekend work required at times.

Yes! All fall TaxSlayer Gator Bowl internships are paid.

All interested candidates can apply by submitting their cover letters, resumes and references here.

Cover letters should include answers to the following questions:

  • If you will be using this internship for class credit (also if you have any academic obligations during the internship period — classes, projects, assessments, etc.)
  • Why you feel like you’re the best candidate for an internship with the Gator Bowl Sports

The Gator Bowl Sports Internship Selection Process consists of three periods:

  • Resume Submission and Evaluation Period (January – March)
  • Zoom Interview Period (March – April)
  • Final Interview Period (April-May | In-Person preferred but can be conducted Remotely if needed)

Final Selection is targeted for May 1st, but please note this could be extended depending on number of applications/schedules.
