Media credentials for the 2020 TaxSlayer Gator Bowl are issued for working media only. Media agencies credentialed throughout the year at both universities receive priority status. Subject to limitations, the remainder of the requests will be honored in priority order from sports editors of daily newspapers and television sports directors in the local/national media followed by weekly publications and radio stations attending the game in a working capacity.
Due to limited space and to ensure compliance with NCAA guidelines, no credentials will be issued to either “free-lance” writers or photographers without a specific assignment received in writing by the assigning organization.
Requesting media credentials will be done online using the Sports Systems Online Credentialing website beginning in late November. Scroll to the top of this page and click the ‘Register for Credentials’ button to get started.
Please do not apply for credentials unless you are certain you will be covering the event. Space is limited and credentials will be granted on the priority basis as listed above.
Press Box passes are good only for a reserved seat in the Press Box. It will not permit you access to any other part of the stadium, except at the end of the game when you will be allowed on field access for the awards presentation and the interview rooms adjacent to the team locker rooms.
Photo credentials will be issued only to accredited photographers and videographers on assignment for a recognized news organization or sports publication or authorized by the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl. No freelance photographers will be granted credentials. Photo credentials grant access to the Press Box. Under NCAA rules, photographers/videographers are not allowed between the 25-yard lines and must remain outside the restraining lines surrounding the playing field. All field photographers and videographers must obtain a photo armband or vest on game day which will allow access to pre-approved shooting lanes.
No online service will be allowed “real time” transmission of the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl. Only contractual rights-fee paying media will be allowed “real time” transmission during the event. “Real Time” is defined as any online media providing live continual play-by-play coverage of an event. Other than the official website of ESPN, the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl and each participating institution, representatives staffing websites shall be accredited for credentials to the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl on the following guidelines:
