The City of Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Jaguars have partnered to transform EverBank Stadium. Transforming the stadium and enhancing the existing structure is the most sustainable and environmentally friendly way to provide the Jaguars, the Florida-Georgia game, and the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl with a home that will provide a state-of-the-art fan experience.
Construction is scheduled to be complete in August 2028. The TaxSlayer Gator Bowl will play at home for the 2025/26 and 2026/27 seasons, keeping as many games as possible in Jacksonville. Fans will have the ability to see progress when attending games during these seasons.
Using fan research and a comprehensive assessment of the facility’s structure, our plans call for a reimagined stadium with an environmentally friendly and cost-effective structure that showcases state-of-the-art innovation. This proposal ensures the continuation of the annual traditions of the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl and Florida-Georgia Football Classic while also opening opportunities for future Super Bowls, Final Four tournaments, college football playoffs, marquee concerts and more.
